I’ve never read the book, so judging the series is independent
Line of Events
Follow Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose work is built on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to get the role, but he was replaced by Kevin Kline.
Clearly preparing for a “turn”
The series is too long, stretched out too much. It was intriguing and mysterious for the first few episodes, but by the fifth episode I was like, “Oh my god, stop it already.” Catherine’s silence/constant interruptions when trying to tell her side just feels like a plot device to keep the story going.
The constant, detailed sex scenes are just awesome
Literally porn. I don’t mind the sex scenes, but if I want to watch the "detailed" Ten minutes of sex scenes, my first choice would not be Apple TV+.
