After escaping from an island prison where he spent 14 years on a false charge of treason, Edmond Dantes returns as the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the men who betrayed him. The Count of Monte Cristo is the most expensive French film of 2024. When Albert watches Heidi sing and play the guitar, it is very clear that half the time he is not even touching the strings. I am French and I am the first to say that "All the films from France are so bad that they cannot and cannot make a great film at all… Only every 10 years do we get to watch a good film from France…
Well this French film is perfect!!!
Everything that is needed to make a great film from cinema was there and I am so proud as a Frenchman to say that finally for a French film it is a masterpiece!!!! First of all the main story, that is; is great, everyone can watch this movie, it is for all audiences children, teenagers, adults, old people… the adaptation of the novel is really well done and it is not easy to do it especially when such a big fan of the books expects a lot from the movie!!! But the script is so nice, 3 hours of the movie was not long at all, I didn’t want the movie to end. I am so immersed in the journey of the main character that after every moment you don’t take your eyes off the screen you want to know what’s next, it’s crazy!
so these two actors will get a Cesar at the end of the year !!!
The story of the Monte-Cristo character is so nice and touching and you visit his story throughout the movie and it is so passionate and 3 hours is perfect to reveal the holes in the story (the beginning of life, betrayal, revenge…) the story is emotional and so exciting!!! I hope that not only France will be able to watch this movie and show other countries that France can make such a movie! Pierre Nini’s skills are great because every movie he played and other actors and actresses are the same, even Laurent Lafitte. I’m not that much of a fan of his but he performed his bad character so well, I hope. The direction and the movies from the director were so nice that we didn’t get such direction in France and both.

the directors showed us that we can do it even if we don’t have the same Hollywood budget, the shots were very beautiful !!! Finally the soundtrack, the makeup and the different costumes of the actors were great, these all points were great thanks to the people who worked on it, there is so much to say about each thing but everything is good and tomorrow. I will still say great words here about each feature !!! The environment of the movie was also great and finally the budgets of 43 million ?!??!!?? Sorry ?
the budget is incredible and I don’t think people realize it’s crazy !!!
But the movie looks like a 100 million budget, at least it’s crazy, it shows again why this movie is a masterpiece, so the movie takes great shots with great landscapes in 3 hours for only 43 hours. This movie from France it’s a masterpiece, if you don’t like it, you don’t like cinema, sorry!
