Lewis is searching for the gospels while a woman who pretends to be his wife gets him into bed on the phone. The film is set in 1939, but Lewis did not marry Joy Davidman Gresham until 1956. well, Freud’s beliefs are at the end of his life (he died three weeks after the supposed events of the film), while there are plenty of things Lewis said up to twenty years later. As for the fundamental disagreement between religion and science, it is not a conflict; like smarter people, as I stated, science is about the how, not the why. Both men are fine actors and easily translate the script into natural sounding words. I have no idea that Hopkins' the accent represents Vienna well; Kohli Calhoun is featured as a dialect coach.
